Bio
I am a social and behavioral scientist who uses mixed methods to study how social policies and programs can advance reproductive justice. My work centers on three interconnected areas: (1) the intersections of poverty and health surrounding childbirth; (2) evaluation of social policies and programs designed to mitigate poverty and related affordability challenges; and (3) the ways gender and race shape access to social determinants of health, including education and housing. At the core of my approach is deep collaboration with communities and people with lived experience, ensuring that the evidence I generate supports meaningful policy change and helps reduce health inequities.
